quiltkit.com wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. this return & refund policy outlines the conditions, process, and limitations for returns, refunds, and related requests.


1. return window

return requests must be submitted within 10 days of the delivery date shown by the shipping carrier.

due to the nature of fabric, sewing, and quilting products, returns requested outside of this timeframe may not be accepted. fabric and textile-based items can absorb odors, pet hair, smoke, fragrances, and other environmental factors that may prevent resale.

requests submitted after 10 days may not be eligible for return or refund approval.


2. eligibility for returns

to qualify for a return, items must:

  • be unused and unwashed
  • be in the same condition as received
  • include original packaging, tags, and included materials
  • be free from odors, damage, pet hair, stains, smoke exposure, fragrances, or alterations

returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused or returned to the sender.

because of the nature of sewing, quilting, fabric, and handmade-related products, certain items may not be eligible for return, including:

  • cut fabric
  • opened kits
  • digital products or downloadable content
  • custom or personalized items
  • clearance or final sale merchandise
  • items marked non-returnable at the time of purchase

3. reasons for return

approved returns are generally limited to the following situations:

  • damaged items received during shipment
  • defective products
  • incorrect items received
  • unused items no longer wanted by the customer

quiltkit.com reserves the right to deny returns that appear fraudulent, abusive, excessive, or inconsistent with this policy.


4. how to start a return

to request a return, please contact us at hello@quiltkit.com and include:

  • your order number
  • the item(s) you wish to return
  • the reason for the return

if your return request is approved, we will provide:

  • a prepaid return shipping label
  • return instructions

a flat-rate return shipping fee of $5.00 will be deducted from approved refunds unless the return is due to our error or a defective item.

returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.


5. damaged, defective, or incorrect items

if your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery.

email hello@quiltkit.com with:

  • your order number
  • photos of the item and packaging
  • a brief description of the issue

once reviewed, we will determine the appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement, store credit, or refund.


6. exchanges

quiltkit.com does not process direct exchanges.

if you would like a different item, please submit a return request for the original item and place a new order separately.


7. refunds

once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding approval or rejection of your refund.

if approved:

  • refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • processing typically occurs within 10 business days

depending on your financial institution, additional processing time may be required before the refund appears on your account.

original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is the result of our error.


8. refused or unauthorized returns

quiltkit.com reserves the right to refuse returns that:

  • do not meet eligibility requirements 
  • show signs of use or damage
  • are returned without authorization
  • are sent outside the approved return window

unauthorized returns may be returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.
